Wungong Primary School offers a full and engaging curriculum. We champion evidence based, whole-school programs in literacy, numeracy and social-emotional learning. Our curriculum aligns with the Western Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority. We provide additional support for students through intervention programs in literacy and numeracy and additional resourcing in the classroom so all students can achieve their potential.

Our students are explicitly taught skills, concepts and knowledge and then given the opportunity to apply them. We teach using a consistent instructional framework and consistent programs to reduce cognitive load and increase retention and understanding. Our daily reviews support the movement of understanding from short to long term memory.

Our curriculum is significantly elevated through our specialist teaching programs. These are Noongar Language, Science, Music, Art and Physical Education. We currently offer extra curricula activities in music, physical education and robotics. Our expectations for learning are high as we begin with the premise that our students, staff and community are capable.
