Our specialist subjects are Noongar Language, Science, Art, Music and Physical Education. They are taught by specialists in fields such as classical music, sport, biology, performing arts, graphic design and Noongar Language.

Noongar Language (LOTE)

We are proudly a Noongar Language school and integrate Language beyond the specialist class and into our daily practice. Our Noongar Language program is technical, connected and fun. We connect with our Noongar community to enrich the experience for our students.

Physical Education

Our sports program ranges from the development of fundamental movement skills in the early years to partnership programs with Sporting Schools for skill and team development through specific sports. Our engaging program extends to school and interschool sports, before-school running club, and events such as cross-country and faction athletics carnivals.

Science

Our purpose-built Science room is a hive of curiosity. Our students develop critical thinking and an understanding of the scientific process through hands-on experiments and real-world problem solving.

Visual Art

Our purpose-built Art studio is a place for creativity, exploration and appreciation. We facilitate a broad range of skill development through a range of media such as pottery, print-making, painting, drawing and textiles.

Music

Our music program is a source of pride at Wungong Primary School. From percussion in the early years to instrumental music tuition (guitar) for our senior students, our students are able to connect and share through music. We offer before and after school clubs for recorder, choir and guitar.
